Each participant is responsible for bringing their own instrument. Front ensemble keyboard instruments will be provided (read/print flute part).
Each participant is responsible for printing out their own music (found in PDFs below) and bringing it with them. (Exception is for battery percussion and drum majors)

During halftime, the band day students will play through various songs that are notable at JSU. We will start with Stars Fell on Alabama and move to Salvation is Created, JSU Fight Song, and ESPN. All downloads are linked below!
We ask that you download all music and print to bring with you on the day of the event.
Battery percussion and drum majors will be taught the music the day of the event. Front Ensemble will play the Flute part.

No. Chaperone registration will happen the day of the event at the registration area (Bibb Graves Hall).
Pre-registration guarantees that you will receive a t-shirt the day of the event and secures your spot. It also speeds up the check-in process upon arrival!
Yes, the fee for JSU Band Day participants is $30 and includes a meal, price of ticket, and a t-shirt.
Chaperones are $5 per chaperone. (Price of ticket)
Directors are free.
There is a $1 processing fee for using credit or debit cards.

You will not need anything for registration. To make registration faster, you can print and bring your confirmation ticket, but it is not necessary.

Music downloads can be found above under “Music Downloads”. We ask that you have all music printed and to bring it with you.
Percussion music will be taught the day of the event. There is no music for you to print off. Front ensembles will be provided music or you can download the “Flute” part.
We do not provide any instrument except for keyboard percussion in the front ensemble. Everyone else will need to bring their own instrument.
We just ask that you be in the area in case an emergency arises. You are free to watch rehearsal or visit campus and the surrounding area. All individuals are required to have a chaperone. The chaperone fee is $5 which covers their ticket to the game.
We will provide a Band Day t-shirt for the halftime performance, and students may wear shorts (it will probably be hot on the field). Tennis shoes are required as well. Please do not wear a band uniform!
Anyone can attend band day from winds, percussion, auxiliary, and drum majors!
They will not need to prepare anything as all routines will be learned the day of the event. Colorguard and Majorettes will need to bring flags/batons.

REGISTRATION STARTS AT 7:00AM
Parking and registration will take place at Bibb Graves Hall. Directions to Bibb Graves are below. All students/directors/chaperones will register at Bibb Graves Hall and the first meeting will take place in the
JSU Stadium at 9:00 AM.
Parking at the JSU Library Parking Lot is FREE and away from usual Gameday traffic. Free parking is also located at the Pete Mathews Coliseum. The university provides a shuttle service from the coliseum to the stadium for those needing handicap shuttle assistance.
Library Parking will be the closest/best option to registration; however we ask buses to please drop their students off at Bibb Graves before parking.
A meal of pizza and water will be given to the students after the rehearsal. This meal will take place in the stadium area. Marching Southerners members will escort students to the location after the rehearsal. From there, we will lead the students to the stadium when it is time for them to be seated in the stands.
Students/Parents/Chaperones/Band Directors will be seated in the VISITING side of the stadium. It is labeled Section A,B,C or G,H,I on the image. (North Side)

You will see the 12- story Houston Cole Library on the right and the marble university sign on the left. The entrance to the university is on your left. From Atlanta, GA:

Take US Highway 431 (Governor’s Drive) South through Gadsden. Once south of Gadsden, turn left onto Alabama Highway 204. Highway 204 leads directly to campus. Please consult the Campus Mapfor your desired location.
From Montgomery, AL:
Take US Highway 231 North. In Sylacauga, take Alabama Highway 21 North off of US Highway 231. Go through Talladega, Oxford, Anniston/McClellan, and around the Jacksonville square (about 20 miles). You will see the 12-story Houston Cole Library on the right and the marble university sign on the left. The entrance to the university is on your left. Please consult the Campus Map for your desired location.
From Rome, GA:
Travel on Highway 27 South to Cedartown and take US Highway 278 West to Piedmont, AL. In Piedmont, turn left onto Highway 200. Highway 200 merges onto Alabama Highway 21 South. Follow Highway 21 South to Jacksonville. You will see the 12-story Houston Cole Library on the left and the marble University sign on the right. The entrance to the university is the first right, at the traffic signal – University Drive. Please consult the Campus Map for your desired location.
